Before & After Bathroom

When I moved into my home, there was a Golden Oak Situation. It was everywhere! And I admit, I love that Golden Oak is having a moment right now. Designers are embracing the oak details still prevelent in many homes and they are doing a damn fine job of making it work with updated color palettes.
But for me, at the time I moved in, I wanted to minimize the 90's oak vibes. The first to go was in the bathroom. A bit of paint, updated hardware and new flooring transformed this space to a more 'spa-like' feeling.

I offered (in the most romantic way possible) to update my husband's primary bathroom toilet for our anniversary if he would buy a new toilet for mine! I know--I'm super weird! But I love home improvement projects and we are great at working on projects together! So both bathrooms have new floor and new toilets.
I've found out from several of my improvement attempts, that mobile homes are not 'standard' homes in many ways. I was a little nervous about the toilet update, but didn't find anything in my research that indicated a problem--but sometimes you find out about the problem in the middle of the project! I could visualize finding a 'non-standard' issue once we removed the old toilet. But by some miracle, our new stool replaced the old with no issue.
It was definitely not my most favorite job (smells--iykyk!) but really happy with the end results!

Our home is always a work in process, but content for now with the 'After' bathroom look.
